I had a pretty solid stay at Keynes College. The location is super convenient, with easy bus access to the city center, but the hike back can be a bit much after a long day. My room was clean and spacious, though the mattress definitely needs an upgrade, and I didn't get much natural light. Overall, good value for the price, especially since breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly.

My room was clean and spacious but lacked natural light and had an uncomfortable mattress.

Great location with easy access to town via bus, but be ready for a steep walk back.

The communal kitchen was handy, and the campus itself is beautiful, but the shower could use better pressure.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Keynes College, with friendly staff and clean facilities, though the room was uncomfortably hot at times. The picturesque surroundings and convenience of location were definite highlights, but I did face some challenges with confusing directions and occasional noise disturbances. Breakfast offered a decent selection but could be improved.
Rooms

The room was a good size and very clean, but it became extremely hot at night. The window opened only a tiny bit, which didn’t help. I also experienced some disturbances like noise, though I managed to sleep through most of it.
Service

Reception was friendly and helpful, though they closed a bit early. I appreciated that the staff replaced my coffee and tea without hesitation.

The college is high on a hill overlooking Canterbury, which offers a great view. It was a nice walk to the center, though the directions around the site were quite confusing.

Breakfast had a good selection, though I found the egg dry on one occasion. The service was excellent, with friendly staff throughout my stay.

The facilities were generally good, with a nice kitchen area, and I enjoyed the presence of ducks and rabbits on site, adding to the charm.

My stay at Keynes College was quite an experience. The location was peaceful and the staff were friendly, which made a big difference. However, the room had issues like cleanliness and comfort that detracted from the overall experience.
Rooms
5.0
I found my room to be somewhat nostalgic of a student dorm, but it was in need of better cleanliness. The mattress on my single bed felt a bit cheap, and I struggled with the heat during my stay as the room was incredibly hot, even with the window open. The bathroom had remnants from previous guests, which was disappointing.
Service
8.0
The service staff were lovely, especially during breakfast. They were friendly and helped create a nice atmosphere, which I appreciated.
Location
6.0
The location is a bit of a trek into the center of Canterbury, about a 30-minute walk which is longer than advertised. However, there are regular bus services nearby that make it a bit easier to get to town and explore.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was quite good overall, with a decent variety available. However, I found it a bit disorganized at times, as I had to search around for food.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a large common kitchen, and I appreciated the presence of a nearby Co-op for food. The grounds are well-kept, creating a peaceful environment, although I had issues with the lock on my door that took time to resolve.

My stay at Keynes College had its ups and downs. On one hand, the location was super convenient, and the room was clean with good amenities. On the downside, I faced a few hiccups with the booking and room facilities that made my experience less than perfect. Overall, it was decent for a budget option but not without its flaws.
Rooms
6.0
My room was clean but had a really firm bed that I didn't find comfortable. The showers needed some work too, as they didn't drain properly in one of the rooms. I also noticed some wear and tear, especially with the furnishings.
Service
6.0
Reception staff were friendly and helpful, but I had some issues with my breakfast tags and room assignment. I was transferred to a different room than expected, which caused some confusion. However, they were responsive when I raised my concerns.
Location

The location was a big win for me! There was easy access to a bus stop and Canterbury city center wasn't far. Perfect for exploring the area, and I appreciated the quiet surroundings.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast had a decent spread and was enjoyable considering the price. However, I did notice the dining area got crowded, and some might find it a bit chaotic during peak breakfast times.
Facilities

Facilities like the common kitchen were a nice touch, but finding parking could be tricky if you're there on a weekday. I came on a weekend, so it was easy for me, but I'd recommend checking in ahead of time.

My stay at Keynes College was surprisingly pleasant given the budget-friendly price. The staff were friendly, and the communal spaces were well-maintained, though I would have preferred a bit more power in the showers. The location offered easy access to public transport, but it could be a bit of a trek back if you’re coming from the city center late at night.
Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and comfortable, with a decent ensuite bathroom, although I did notice a slight musty smell and an issue with the mattress being a bit elevated. Still, for the price, it was adequate for my needs.
Service
8.0
The staff at Keynes College were incredibly welcoming. They provided towels and toiletries, and were helpful with holding our luggage, which added to my positive experience.
Location
8.0
Conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easy to reach the city center. However, the walk back to the college from town can feel long, especially uphill after a night out.
Dining

Breakfast was a highlight — well-cooked and plentiful, served with a smile in a bright, airy dining area. It exceeded my expectations for a student accommodation.
Facilities
6.0
The communal kitchen was equipped with microwaves and refrigerators, which was great, but I wished there were cutlery and plates available. Free parking was also a nice touch.
